The Frederick Optimist Club has been serving and helping children since 1947. We have helped thousands of children in Frederick County with the numerous programs we conduct throughout the year. Our motto is “Friend of Youth” and our goal is to make a difference in the life of a child. The Optimist Club of Frederick recently honored their Youth Appreciation Week scholarship winners.

Matthew Dillard is the winner of a $250 scholarship. He is a senior at Middletown High School;

Chloe Lenker is the winner of a $500 scholarship. She is a senior at Urbana High School;

Mickayla Bacorn is the winner of a $500 scholarship. She is a senior at Middletown High School;

Jack Wilson is the winner of a $750 scholarship. He is a senior at Brunswick High School; and

Jane Martin YAW Chairperson and Club Treasurer.
